  • CyberAgent” Project Event BoostCamp in Kaunas

    CyberAgent project successfully concluded a three-day BoostCamp event in Kaunas, Lithuania (23–25 September 2025), organized by the Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius University. The event brought together 35 participants, including 7 vocational education and training teachers, 9 higher education lecturers, and 10 SME trainers representing partner institutions and organizations from across Europe. Together, they made decisive progress in refining and validating the „CyberAgent“ curriculum, aimed at strengthening small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) cybersecurity capabilities through innovative cybersecurity training.

    Collaboration for Stronger Cybersecurity Education

    „BoostCamp“ was an intensive series of practical workshops built on several months of collaboration within the project consortium. Over three days, participants worked on finalizing the „CyberAgent“ curriculum: a comprehensive training system designed to provide vocational education, higher education, and SME sector educators with the knowledge, tools, and pedagogical methods needed to act as cybersecurity change agents within their institutions and communities. It was also an excellent opportunity to test the platform live.

    The program sessions, led by Vilnius University and IT Academy and supported by partners from Finland, Norway, Spain, Belgium, Romania, and Türkiye, covered key thematic areas, including:

    • Cybersecurity workforce development and SME learning pathways
    • Legal and ethical aspects of AI and cybersecurity
    • Risk management, governance, and compliance
    • Digital pedagogy, gamification, and modern learning methodologies
    • Business continuity, incident response, and security operations
    • Guests from academia, industry, and policy contributed to enriching the agenda with real-world insights. Discussions focused on reducing the gap between education and the rapidly evolving cybersecurity labour market needs, while also highlighting gender inclusion, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration.

    Vilnius University – Host and Academic Leader

    As the project coordinator, the Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius University provided the venue and hospitality for the entire BoostCamp event. Faculty experts led sessions on cybersecurity workforce challenges and curriculum integration, ensuring that participants had opportunities to collaborate, exchange experiences, and jointly develop practical solutions.

    Dr. Renata Danielienė, the project coordinator at Vilnius University, emphasized the importance of this event for the consortium:

    „This stage confirms that we are ready to move from planning to practice. BoostCamp has provided us not only with refined content, but also with shared responsibility for the training modules, ensuring that they can be effectively implemented in diverse educational and business environments.“

    From Design to Implementation

    BoostCamp marked a decisive transition point for the CyberAgent project from curriculum design to pilot project preparation. The final platform and modules tested and refined in Kaunas will form the basis for pilot trainings to be carried out in participating countries in late 2025 and early 2026. During these pilot trainings, the learning pathways, feedback mechanisms, and digital resources developed within the project will be evaluated.

    Looking Ahead

    After completing BoostCamp and validating the curriculum, the next phase of the CyberAgent project will focus on:

    • Launching pilot trainings in partner countries;
    • Collecting feedback and impact data from teachers and learners;
    • Finalizing the open-access digital platform for training materials and collaboration.
    • The Kaunas „BoostCamp“ highlighted how transnational collaboration and experience sharing can have a tangible impact on education. As cybersecurity continues to evolve, the „CyberAgent“ partnership remains committed to equipping European educators with the tools they need to foster a culture of digital resilience.
