“Microsoft Excel” Fundamentals (Remote)

ABOUT THE SEMINAR

The course is designed for beginner “MS Excel” users or those with no prior experience working with spreadsheet software who wish to learn how to use this program. During the course, you will become familiar with “MS Excel” working modes, toolbars, and their functions, and you will learn how to enter and edit data.

You will learn how to create tables, perform calculations using formulas and functions, create charts, sort and filter data, and prepare documents for printing.

  • Basic knowledge of “MS Excel”: program environment and user interface.
    • Workbook structure and basic actions with worksheets.
    • The concept of a cell and cell address.
    • Working modes and window management.
  • Data entry, editing, and formatting.
    • Font formats, borders, background, and data alignment within a cell.
    • Data types, number and date formats.
  • Working with workbook sheets, rows, and columns.
  • Automatic cell filling and data series.
  • Formulas and functions.
    • Formula structure and creation. Absolute and relative references.
    • The concept and syntax of functions.
    • Examples of using basic functions.
  • Copying and moving data and formulas, special paste options.
  • Creating charts. Chart types and editing. Examples of basic chart types.
  • Sorting and filtering data.
  • Conditional formatting.
  • Preparing documents for printing and printing.
    • Page numbering, creating headers and footers.
    • Setting page margins and fitting data into a specified number of pages.
