  • Trakai Public Library Project “3D Me: Design–Work–Dialogue”

In September–October, the project “3D Me: Design–Work–Dialogue” took place at the Trakai Public Library. During this project, free modeling, 3D printing, and photo editing courses for young people were held at the Trakai Public Library. The sessions were conducted by lecturers from “IT akademija”. During the training, participants created works that they implemented in one of their chosen forms: as 3D prints or graphic design creations. Later, these works will participate in the competition “Library of the Future”.

During the course “Photo Editing and Photomontage Creation with Adobe Photoshop”, participants learned to work with the “Adobe Photoshop” program, retouch photos, perform full-image or partial color corrections using both automated and advanced user methods, create photo collages, and more. Later in the course, they practiced performing full-image or partial color corrections using both automated and advanced techniques.

Working with layers, course participants learned to apply various effects, retouch, and perform photo corrections. At the end of the training, participants completed exercises to consolidate the knowledge gained during the course and created new images by combining several photos. Course participants demonstrated their acquired knowledge and skills by creating one or more bookmarks, which will later be printed and displayed in the library.

Project participants also learned modeling using the SketchUp program, and the created objects will be printed using 3D printers.
